Judith Hayes Memorial Scholarship
Miss Judith Hayes was a former Greater Clark County Schools educator who wanted to leave a legacy of helping future educators and nurses. The recipient of this scholarship will receive $30,000 to further their education.
The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana administers this scholarship and their scholarship selection committee chose the recipient based on their academic excellence, extracurricular activities, community involvement, as well as an essay “My Plan for Making a Difference”.

Regina Oglesby Scholarship
In partnership with the Greater Clark School District, the Greater Clark Educational Foundation launched the Regina Oglesby Education Scholarship in 2023. This scholarship is for minority students pursuing a career in education. The goal of this scholarship is to create a more diverse teaching staff in Greater Clark County Schools.
Ms. Oglesby (or Ms. O. to many), was the 2022 JHS Alumni of the Year honoree and although a retired Greater Clark educator, still spends her days in education as a substitute teacher at JHS.

Dr. David M. Pulliam Superintendent’s Scholarship
One senior from Charlestown, Jeffersonville, or New Washington High School will receive $5,000.00 in scholarship assistance. The scholarship will be paid to the college the student will attend at the time of enrollment.
This scholarship is given in memory of Dr. David M. Pulliam who served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Greater Clark County School Corporation from 1995 until his retirement in June 2003. Dr. Pulliam was instrumental in the formation of the GCCS Educational Foundation. This Foundation awards monies to eligible Greater Clark students for college tuition assistance and provides funds for teacher mini-grants and student cultural development activities. Dr. Pulliam passed away on February 1, 2004.
