Robotics & Rube Goldberg Clubs
The GCEF provides funding to support the Robotics & Rube Goldberg Clubs at each of our schools.
Across Greater Clark County Schools we have Robotics Teams in every Elementary and Middle School. Every year VEX Robotics announces a robotics challenge. This challenge is focused around students designing a robot that will complete a task through an obstacle course or field. The clubs meet for several months to complete their robot design work. The GCCS students then gather together for a district wide competition where teams will compete to complete the robotics challenge in the fastest time. Some of our teams go on to the VEX Robotics State Competition.
The Rube Goldberg Club allows students to work in teams and use their creativity to build machines made out of basic household items. Students learn about levers, pulleys, inclines, and more to make their machine function. The students come together for a District wide competition where they present their machines to an audience and judges.
